This week our team have been working from a slightly different base...

📣 Wantage & Grove NHPT 📣

Yep, you guessed it, the Police Academy fun house in the photo! 🎢👮😂

We actually quite like our new base. It’s remarkably similar to policing: lots of ups and downs, unexpected twists, the occasional dead end, and moments where you have absolutely no idea what madness is waiting around the next corner! 🤣

Once again, we left the green and pleasant land we call Wantage & Grove and headed over to Abingdon, supporting Abingdon NHPT alongside colleagues from Oxford, Thame and Didcot at the Michaelmas Fair.

🎡 Interesting fact! Abingdon Michaelmas Fair is reputed to be the longest street fair in Europe, stretching for around a mile through the town. It originally began as a medieval hiring fair.

And yes... we knew it was the longest street fair in Europe.

We were told............... A lot. 😂

Our legs had already worked that out after clocking up around 12 miles over the two days! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

This marks the end of our fair-patrol season, so we’re looking forward to resting our legs and hopefully getting our hearing back! 🔊😂

Fear not though, we’ll still be out around Wantage & Grove on the bikes 🚲 and on foot.

We might just spend a few days in the trucks first... 🚓👀

Purely for operational reasons, obviously. Nothing whatsoever to do with our legs. 😂
